Bihar Board Result: How to Check BSEB 10th and 12th Result

Bihar Board result 2026 at a glance

All figures below are from news reports (Careers360 and Free Press Journal, March 2026). The board's own press note could not be read directly, so treat these as reported figures.

Both pass rates dipped slightly from 2025. Reported toppers for Inter were Aditya Prakash Aman in Science (481 out of 500), Nishu Kumari in Arts (479) and Aditi Kumari in Commerce (480). In Matric, Pushpanjali Kumari and Sabreen Praween shared rank 1 with 492 out of 500 (98.4%).

One third-party guide gave the Inter exam start as 1 February, but 1 Feb 2026 was a Sunday, so 2 February (as reported by Careers360) is more likely.

How to check Bihar Board result (रिजल्ट कैसे देखें)

The login is the same every year. Keep your admit card (प्रवेश पत्र) ready, because the Roll Code and Roll Number are printed on it.

1. Open the official BSEB site, biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in, and look for the result link for Matric or Inter.
2. Choose the correct class. Matric and Inter results open on separate pages.
3. Enter your Roll Code (the school or centre code) and your Roll Number exactly as printed on the admit card.
4. Type the captcha and click View or Search.
5. Check your name, father's and mother's names, and subject-wise marks. Save a screenshot or print the page.

The online marksheet is provisional. The original marksheet and certificate come later through your school. We could not confirm whether BSEB results were on DigiLocker in 2026, so do not rely on it.

On result day the board's servers get very busy. In 2026, news reports listed several result links, including results.biharboardonline.com, interbiharboard.com, matricbiharboard.com, bsebexam.com and secondary.biharboardonline.com. These result-only addresses change most years, so the safest path is to start from biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in and follow its link. Do not trust a result link forwarded on WhatsApp; read our guide to spotting fake links and alerts.

Result by SMS and when the site is slow

For the 2026 Inter result, news reports said students could send BIHAR12 <space> roll number to 56263. The SMS format for Matric was not confirmed in our sources, and SMS codes can change each year, so wait for the board's notice before relying on it.

If the site does not open, try again after 20 to 30 minutes, avoid refreshing again and again, and check early morning the next day when traffic is lower. Your result does not change if you see it a day later.

Scrutiny, compartment and special exam

Scrutiny (स्क्रूटनी) is a re-check of your answer sheet if you think marks are missing or totalled wrongly. You apply online within a short window after the result, following the board's notice for the fee and steps.

• Inter 2026 scrutiny forms: 25 March to 2 April 2026 (news reports).
• Matric 2026 scrutiny, compartmental and special exam forms: 1 to 7 April 2026 (news reports).

Compartmental exam (कंपार्टमेंटल) is for students who failed in one or two subjects. Special exam is for students who missed the main exam for a genuine reason. In 2026 the Inter theory papers ran 2 to 11 May with practicals on 13 and 14 May, and Matric papers also started on 2 May (reported by an education site; check the board notice). According to education news sites (May 2026), the compartmental-cum-special results for Class 10 and 12 came out on 23 May 2026, around 4 pm. About 1.38 lakh candidates took part, and the Inter compartment pass rate was reported as 55.31%.

In 2026 these windows lasted only about a week or a little more, so apply as soon as the board opens them.

Bihar Board result 2027: what to expect

As of 15 October 2026, BSEB has not announced the 2027 exam programme or result dates. Here is what the pattern of past years suggests. These are expectations only, not announced dates.

• The board usually releases the exam programme around November to December.
• Inter exams are expected in early February 2027 and Matric exams in mid to late February 2027.
• Results have come in the last week of March: Inter on 25 Mar 2025 and 23 Mar 2026; Matric on 29 Mar 2025 and 29 Mar 2026.

The 2027 process has already started. Dummy registration cards came out on 25 July 2026, and corrections went through schools until 14 August 2026 (reported by job sites; not confirmed by the board). The dummy admit card for 2027 had not been released as of mid-October 2026. Follow our Bihar Board dummy admit card page for that step.

After the result: next steps

Once you have your marks, think about the next step early. Inter pass students can look at state and central jobs that need 12th, such as the BSSC Inter Level exam (prelims date still not announced) or the list on our 12th pass government jobs page. Matric pass students can read our 10th pass government jobs guide.

Many recruitment forms ask for your Matric certificate as proof of date of birth, so make sure your name and date of birth are correct now. A small spelling error is far easier to fix while you are still at school than years later during a job verification.
