MP Police exam date and admit card 2026

As of 15 October 2026, ESB has not published an official exam date that we could confirm. Job sites report that the written exam will probably start from 19 November 2026 in two shifts. That is reported by job sites and not confirmed by the board, so treat it as expected only.

No admit card date has been announced. In the 2025 cycle, the exam ran over about six weeks in 11 cities, so expect a long exam window with different dates for different candidates. When the admit card comes, the usual steps are:

  1. Open esb.mp.gov.in and find the Police Constable Recruitment Test 2026 admit card link.
  2. Enter your application number and date of birth or the details asked on the login page.
  3. Check your name, photo, exam date, shift and centre address.
  4. Print it on plain A4 paper and carry a valid original photo ID.

Menu labels may differ. See our admit card download guide for common problems such as a forgotten application number.

Exam pattern, PET and merit

According to Careers360, the selection works like this:

  • Written exam: 100 MCQs, 100 marks, 2 hours, no negative marking. Sections: General Knowledge and Reasoning 40 marks, Intellectual Ability 30 marks, Science and Arithmetic 30 marks.
  • Physical efficiency test (PET), 100 marks: 800 metre run 40 marks, long jump 30 marks, shot put 30 marks (7.26 kg for men, 4 kg for women). You need at least 30% to qualify.
  • Merit: normalised written score plus PET marks.

Because the exam runs in many shifts, scores are normalised. Your raw marks and your normalised marks can differ. Since there is no negative marking, attempt every question.

Physical standards and pay (as reported)

Job sites quote these physical standards from the 2026 notice. They are not confirmed by the board, so check the official notice:

  • Non-SAF men: UR, SC and OBC 168 cm height, chest 81/86 cm; ST 160 cm, chest 76/81 cm.
  • Women: 155 cm height.
  • SAF: 168 cm (UR/OBC), 165 cm (SC/ST/Maratha), 157 cm (Gorkha and some others), chest 79/84 cm.

Pay is reported by job sites as Rs 19,500 to 62,000, with a probation stipend of 70%, 80% and 90% of the minimum pay over three years. Not confirmed by the board.

Stay safe. Government jobs are never sold. Ignore anyone who asks for money for selection, an appointment letter or a 'setting'. Check every notice on the official site of the commission or board; job links on social media can be fake.

What the 2025 cycle tells you

The 2025 Police Constable Recruitment Test also had 7,500 posts. Its timeline helps you judge how long 2026 may take:

  1. The written exam ran from 30 October to 15 December 2025 in 11 cities. 9,78,059 applied and 6,85,504 appeared (Careers360, 25 January 2026).
  2. The first-phase result came on 25 January 2026, with 59,438 candidates qualified for the physical tests (Careers360 and Free Press Journal).
  3. Job sites report a PET admit card on 13 February 2026, PET in February and March 2026, and a final result on 9 April 2026 with unit allotment to follow. These dates are not confirmed by the board.

So from the start of the exam to the first result took about three months, and the full process about five to six months. If the 2026 exam starts in November, a similar pace would put the written result in early 2027, but that is only an estimate.

MP Police cut off

We could not obtain verified final cut-off marks for the 2025 cycle, so we do not publish figures here. Be careful with cut-off tables that do not name their source. When ESB declares results, check the result notice on its site for any cut-off details it publishes. Remember that the final merit adds PET marks to the normalised written score, so the written cut-off alone does not decide final selection.

If you are also eligible for higher posts, see our MP Police SI page. For other 10th-pass options read our 10th pass government jobs guide.
