Every year the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) gives Class 10 (Matric) and Class 12 (Inter) students a chance to check their details before the final documents are printed. This happens in two rounds: first a dummy registration card, and later a dummy admit card (डमी एडमिट कार्ड). Both are drafts. Their only job is to let you catch mistakes in your name, date of birth, photo or subjects while they can still be fixed.
For the 2027 exams, the dummy registration card was released on 25 July 2026, according to news reports (July 2026). Corrections were collected by schools until 14 August 2026, as reported by job sites (not confirmed by the board). Dummy registration card vs dummy admit card
Students often mix up these two documents. They come at different times and do different jobs.

The past-cycle timing in this table comes from education sites, not from a BSEB notice, so treat it only as a rough guide. Do not plan around a fixed date until the board announces one.
What to check on the card
Whether it is the dummy registration card or the dummy admit card, check every line slowly. A small spelling mistake now can cause trouble later on your marksheet and certificate, which you will use for jobs and admissions for years.
- Your name, spelled exactly as in your school records and Aadhaar.
- Father's and mother's names.
- Date of birth.
- Photo and signature: are they yours, and are they clear?
- Caste and religion entries.
- Subjects, including optional and additional subjects.
If everything is correct, you do not need to do anything except keep a copy. If something is wrong, tell your school at once.

How the correction worked for 2027
Students cannot correct the card themselves online. According to education and job sites (July 2026), the process for the 2027 dummy registration card was as below. This is reported by job sites and not confirmed by the board, so follow your school's instructions.
- Get the printed dummy card from your school or from the registration portal your school uses.
- Mark the mistake clearly on the printed copy.
- Attach self-attested proof, for example your Aadhaar card or a previous marksheet.
- Sign the copy and hand it to your school head (principal).
- The school submits the correction online to BSEB.
The reported deadline was 14 August 2026, and that window is now closed. A full change of name was reportedly not allowed. If you missed the window and your details are still wrong, speak to your principal now. The dummy admit card stage, when it comes, is normally the last chance to point out errors.
How to get the dummy admit card when it comes
The 2027 dummy admit card has not been released as of 15 October 2026. When BSEB releases it, follow the steps in the board's notice. In past cycles the general pattern has been:
- The card is made available through the board's school login and the student registration portals. Education sites name secondary.biharboardonline.com for Matric and intermediate.biharboardonline.com for Inter, but start from the main board site, biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in, so you follow the link the board itself gives.
- Students usually need their school details and personal details (such as name and date of birth) to view it.
- Corrections again go through the school head, with proof.

Final admit card and exam dates
The final admit card is the one you carry to the exam hall. For regular students it is downloaded by the school and handed out, usually about 2 to 4 weeks before the exam, based on past cycles. Your school will tell you when to collect it.
As of the latest reports (August to October 2026), BSEB has not announced the 2027 exam dates. The board usually releases the exam programme around November to December. Based on recent years, Inter exams are expected in early February 2027 and Matric exams in mid or late February 2027, but these are expectations only, not announced dates.
