UP NHM CHO 7,401 posts: what is confirmed

The State Health Society (SHS) under the National Health Mission, Uttar Pradesh, runs CHO recruitment. CHOs are contractual posts.

According to news reports (October 2024), the latest confirmed cycle was notified on 25 October 2024 for 7,401 CHO posts. Applications ran from 28 October to 17 November 2024. As reported, this reopened an earlier drive whose applications had been taken in January and February 2024.

That is where the confirmed trail ends. After the application window closed, we found no reliable news report of an admit card, an exam date, an answer key or a result for this drive. Nearly two years have passed, so many applicants are understandably worried. The honest position is: status unknown.

No. We could not find any report of a result for the 7,401-post drive, and we will not guess a date. If you see a website or video saying "UP NHM CHO result out" with a download link, be careful. Check whether the same notice appears on upnrhm.gov.in before you trust it.

Some searches mention "UP NHM 17000 result". We found no confirmed 17,000-post CHO advertisement in our sources. One site also claims a separate 4,000-post CHO advertisement, but we could not confirm it and it looks doubtful. Treat such claims as unconfirmed until an official notice appears.

How UP NHM recruits CHOs: selection and exam pattern

As reported, selection has two stages: a computer based test (CBT), then document verification (DV). The reported pattern is below. It is reported by job sites; not confirmed by the commission, check the official notice.

• 100 multiple choice questions, 100 marks.
• 2 hours.
• No negative marking.
• Minimum qualifying marks: UR/EWS 33, OBC 30, SC/ST/PwD 24.

Because there is no negative marking (if the reported pattern holds), attempt every question in the CBT. Keep revising your B.Sc Nursing and CCHN material while you wait, and check the syllabus in the official notice.

2. Look for the recruitment or careers notices section on the home page.
3. Search the list for "Community Health Officer" or "CHO" and the 2024 advertisement.
4. Open any new notice and check its date carefully, so you do not confuse it with old 2024 notices.
5. Keep your registration number and password from the 2024 application safe. You will likely need them for any admit card or result login.
6. Check your registered email and phone, and make sure they still work.

What CHO applicants can do while waiting

• Keep documents ready: B.Sc Nursing or Post Basic certificates, CCHN certificate, UP Nurses Council registration, ID proof, caste or EWS certificate if relevant.
• Keep registration valid: make sure your Nurses Council registration has not lapsed.
• Apply elsewhere too: do not stop your job search for one stalled drive. Other UP recruitments, such as UPSSSC Lekhpal and UPSSSC Junior Assistant, have their own timelines.
• Avoid paying agents: nobody can speed up or guarantee a CHO selection.
